Work on it.

At no other point in your life will you spend as much time with your spouse as in retirement. This can be a blessing or a curse. Gone are the days of working 8 hours and day and spending the evening and weekends driving the kids to and from activities.

The flaws in your relationship will get exposed very quickly. The little irritants your spouse had will become a fingernail on the proverbial chalkboard of retirement.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

Talk with your partner. Nurture your relationship. Invest in it the way you did your portfolio. Go to coupes therapy (seriously).

These can be the best years of your marriage. Or the worst.

The choice is yours.
